"Student houseshares are so expensive and not always in the best condition. This means I have a nice room and some spending money left over."

The Homesharer

Inter Generations logo

The Homesharer is a young professional/trainee studying at the University of Worcester, who is looking for affordable accommodation and happy to share a home with another person. They should also be willing to provide some help and assistance around the home in return.

Targeted at students primarily studying health and social care related qualifications, the scheme will greatly enhance your CV and also provide you with excellent experience. Students enrolled on other courses at the University of Worcester can also benefit from this experience.

The student will be expected to pay a one-off arrangement fee to IGW of £600 per year, which will be reviewed annually. This will cut out expensive rental costs leaving only a contribution towards household bills, such as gas and electricity, as agreed by the householder.

Essential checks and processes

The homesharer will be expected to have a valid DBS check, as well as two written references. Following an initial appraisal, we will carry out a ‘getting to know you’ assessment to ensure we are able to make the best matches possible, based on compatibility.
