Evie makes the finals of the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards 2016

Assistant HR Advisor, Evie Brookes, from The Community Housing Group, has reached the finals of the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards 2016, in the Higher Level Apprentice of the Year category.

Beating off multiple contenders, she has joined the other finalists to represent an exceptional group of the region’s young talent. Now in their third year, the awards will once again celebrate some of the county’s most impressive Apprenticeships, recognising the hard work of not only the apprentices but the employers, training providers and schools who support them.

Evie is no stranger to winning awards, after becoming National Apprenticeship Service West Midlands Intermediate Apprentice of the Year in 2014, she also went on to receive a Highly Commended at the National Awards ceremony in the same year.

The Community Housing Group achieved success at the same awards last year, taking the Worcestershire Apprentice Employer of the Year 2015 and has also been one of the Top 100 Apprenticeship employers in the UK for three years running.

Marina Banner, Executive Director of Vestia and Corporate Services at The Community Housing Group commented: “We’re really proud of Evie. She has been a fantastic ambassador for our Apprenticeship programme and has demonstrated how hard work and commitment can achieve success.  Our award winning scheme is going from strength to strength and it is down to everyone’s hard work and support within the organisation, including the apprentices.”

The awards ceremony will be held on 17 November 2016, at the Tree Tops Pavilion, West Midlands Safari Park.
