Group sponsor awards at local school event

The Community Housing Group has sponsored a number of prizes at an awards ceremony held last week at Kidderminster school, Baxter Business & Enterprise College.

The “Celebrating Success” Awards Evening was held to acknowledge the students’ achievements during the previous academic year. The awards were presented by special guest, Worcestershire swimmer and British Paralympian Gold and Silver medallist, Claire Cashmore. 

The Group sponsored the following awards:

  • The Community Housing Group Awards for Health & Social Care – won by Courtney Wainwright (Year 11) and Abigail Huntbatch (Year 13)
  • The Oakleaf Grounds Services Award for Geography – won by Jack Evans
  • The Vestia Community Trust Award for Business – won by Olivia Gallacher
  • The Vestia Community Trust Award for Attendance – won by Stacey Evans
  • The Community Housing Group Award for Achievement – won by Thomas Dredge

Justin Bryant, Community Development Manager, attended on behalf of The Community Housing Group and Karen Lowry-Hall, Learning and Development Manager, represented Vestia Community Trust,

Ray Brookes, Chief Executive at The Community Housing Group and also Governor at Baxter College, commented: “It’s a pleasure to support local student successes and see them receive acknowledgment for their hard work. Recognition such as this, will provide them well in employment in the future.”
